Dr. Ronald Razmi spoke with Daily Upside’s Nat Rubio-Licht about a recent generative AI patent filed by Phillips corporation that deals with using neural networks and generative AI to improve the quality of the ultrasound images. The patent deals with using AI to generate data to fill in the missing elements of an ultrasound image. This would improve the quality and the diagnostic accuracy of these images, which some times are of low diagnostic quality due to a variety of issues, including obesity and challenging anatomy.
From the article:
“If you don’t have enough data to create a good algorithm, you can use what data you have to train AI to create new data, and you can train a better model,” said Razmi. “You can fill in the gaps.”
