This discussion canvassed the landscape for investments in the emerging applications of AI in healthcare, Dr. Razmi’s book, AI Doctor: The Rise of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, and a recent survey on the adoption of digital technologies by providers and payers, done by Define Ventures. Key takeaways included the difficulty in the real-world adoption of AI technologies where the performance need to be in line with staff expectations, the need for clear and short-term ROI, and seamless integration with existing technologies and workflows. If these elements are not met, many of these implementations fail.
